Сама песня еще довоенная. Утесов готовил ее для одной из программ своего джаз-оркестра летом 1941 года. На пластинку песня попала только 3 февраля 1945 года. Кстати, на пластинках 1945 года авторство слов приписывалось Борису Ласкину.
